Waste Connections is the premier provider of solid waste collection, transfer, recycling and disposal services, along with recycling and resource recovery, in mostly exclusive and secondary markets across the US and Canada.
OBJECTIVES
ASTOUNDZ was tasked with creating a more intuitive, informative, and user-friendly website experience for Canadian and US users. Due to a large number of websites and locations, Waste Connections wanted an easy to manage platform and to create a great user experience for new and existing customers. We created a bold new look based on our one-click methodology to quickly get folks what they need with their website experience.
CHALLENGES
This project has been one of the most exciting and challenging projects we have faced. We had to develop a tool to manage the hundreds of locations and to dynamically create location-specific landing pages with location-specific contact information and services. With the custom tool, Brandcast CMS , and the great technical team at Waste Connections, we can now deliver new websites within minutes. All of these websites are created with our SEO methodologies in place to ensure Google ranks the website on the first page, driving more business and sales.
RESULTS
The new Google Core Web Vitals update is the most recent change in how they evaluate a website’s performance. Our designers had to consider things such as page load time and whether or not these pages loaded quickly enough for users who are on mobile phones with spotty connections. The project was complex by any measure; designers had to build sites with these attributes in mind, which resulted in near-perfect scores across all web vitals and a great UX.
