For nearly 100 years, Waukesha-Pearce Industries (WPI) has been providing innovative energy solutions and the best power equipment and construction machinery for today and future generations.
OBJECTIVES
To bring together both divisions under one, central website. Prior to ASTOUNDZ, the subdomains energy.wpi.com and construction.wpi.com existed with clashing designs, creating extreme difficulty navigating between both. We also set out to optimize the WPI.com domain and transfer all existing visibility and rankings from the subdomains to the new one.
CHALLENGES
Working with 2 divisions and bringing them together under one central domain. The objective of merging 2 subdomains also presented the greatest challenge for this project – as both subdomains had unique navigation, messaging, etc. Effectively bringing these 2 divisions together under one voice to create better cohesion was a challenge.
OUTCOME
In the first month of going live with the updated site, traffic value is rose by 112.06% – going from $1.5k to $3.3k in total valuation. The website has also seen a 30% increase in keyword rankings. In addition to general increase of valuable traffic landing on the site, user engagement has seen an improvement across the board.
