What helps with SEO the most?
To do well in SEO, your website needs to be technically optimized and have optimized content. That said, if your website can’t load on mobile, is extremely slow, and doesn’t have much text content, you won’t be able to generate 1st-page search rankings.
What determines the ranking hierarchy for search results, or how does Google choose what to rank first vs. last?
Search engines use proprietary algorithms to find and rank web pages for the specific search query input. Is SEO a one-time service?
SEO requires an initial technical and content optimization of a website. Once a website is technically sound (fast load time, secure, etc.), SEO shifts to ongoing content and off-page (links, reviews, etc.) optimization. Without ongoing work, website rankings will begin to suffer.

Seeing the return on SEO can take anywhere from 30-60 days to several months depending on how competitive the industry a particular website is in. If a website is extremely niche in what it’s going after, results can be seen quickly, while website’s competing in saturated markets will take longer.
How is the quality of a website’s SEO scored/audited?
Without the use of tools/softwares to scrape and visually display information about a website, it’s extremely difficult to manually score & audit how well a website is optimized for search engines. In addition to using these tools, understanding basic HTML and what areas of a web page’s HTML are important is required to audit the SEO of a website.
How can SEO help my website/why invest in SEO?
Businesses should invest in SEO to generate organic traffic. SEO done correctly will generate traffic overtime without the need to heavily invest in pay-per-click/digital advertising, as organic clicks don’t cost anything. In addition to traffic, having good SEO will place your website at the top of search results which helps with branding/authority for specific topics. SEO is essential when a website is trying to position itself as an industry leader for any particular subject.
